Minutes of the meeting of 7/10/14
Meeting Opened at: 3pm
Select Board Members Present: Wayne Burkhart, Chairperson, Scott Jenssen and Kenn Basler
Also in attendance for parts of the meeting: Jacob Edelman for the Monterey News, Robert Lazzarini, Roger Tryon, Steve Weisz, Michael Banner, Gareth Backhaus, Larry Klein and Maynard Forbes
The resume review group and the Board discussed all the applicants that interviewed for the Director of Operations position. The group discussed the applicants in order of their preference based upon their interview and qualifications.
An agreement was made to offer the position to Shawn Tryon at a starting salary of $55,000 with a probationary period of 6 months to 1 year. He will be asked to come to Monday’s meeting to discuss the parameters of the position.
The Board discussed tonight’s second school meeting, Scott stated that he has missed a lot of work this week and would prefer not to attend if Wayne and Kenn didn’t have an issue with that. Scott made a strong argument at Tuesday’s meeting and the rest of the Board felt it would be ok if Scott didn’t attend.
A motion was made and unanimously approved to adjourn the meeting at: 4:30pm
